1. General policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings made with Chandigarh Tour Travels, including local rides, outstation trips, airport transfers and tour packages. By confirming a booking, you agree to the cancellation and refund rules described below.
2. Local & airport bookings
- Free cancellation window: For local city rides and airport transfers, bookings can generally be cancelled free of charge up to a fixed time before pickup (for example 2–3 hours), subject to the confirmation message shared at the time of booking.
- Late cancellations: If you cancel after the free cancellation window, a cancellation fee may apply to cover driver reporting and blocking of the vehicle. Any advance paid may be adjusted against this fee.
- No‑show: If the driver reaches the pickup location and the customer is not available or unresponsive on the provided contact number, the booking may be treated as a “no‑show” and any advance may be fully forfeited.
3. Outstation trips & tour packages
- Advance amount: Many outstation and tour bookings require an advance payment to block the vehicle, dates and hotel or activity arrangements (where applicable).
- Cancellation before trip start:
– Cancellations made well in advance (for example 7 days or more before the start date) are usually eligible for a partial or full refund of the advance, after deducting any non‑refundable hotel or third‑party charges.
– Cancellations closer to the trip date may attract higher deductions or may be non‑refundable, depending on season, hotel policies and specific package terms mentioned at the time of booking. - Shortening or changing the trip: If the customer chooses to shorten the itinerary midway or changes the route substantially, refunds for unused services (hotel nights, sightseeing, kms/hours) may not be possible and extra charges may apply for additional distance or destinations.
4. Modifications & rescheduling
- Requests to change the travel date, time, pickup point or route are subject to vehicle availability and may affect the fare.
- In many cases we try to reschedule without extra charges if the request is made within a reasonable time. However, during peak seasons, weekends or last‑minute changes, rescheduling fees or revised rates may apply.
- If a trip cannot be rescheduled and the customer chooses to cancel, the standard cancellation rules will apply.
5. Cancellations by Chandigarh Tour Travels
- In rare cases, a booking may need to be cancelled by us due to reasons such as vehicle breakdown, driver illness, severe weather, strikes, law‑and‑order issues or other circumstances beyond our control.
- In such situations, we will attempt to arrange an alternative vehicle or date. If no suitable alternative is possible, any advance paid to us for that booking will be refunded. Our liability will be limited to the amount received by us for that specific booking.
6. Refund process
- All eligible refunds are processed through the same mode in which the original payment was received, wherever possible (for example, bank transfer, UPI, wallet or payment gateway).
- Once a refund is approved, we generally initiate it within a reasonable processing period. The actual time taken for the amount to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.
- Any convenience fee, payment gateway charges or non‑refundable component charged by third‑party vendors may be deducted from the refund as per their policies.
7. Non‑refundable scenarios
- No refund is applicable in case of no‑show, extreme last‑minute cancellation, or if the passenger is denied service due to misconduct, intoxication or violation of safety rules.
- Certain promotional fares, festival season bookings or special packages may be completely non‑refundable; such conditions will be communicated at the time of booking.
8. Disputes & contact
For any clarification or dispute regarding cancellations or refunds, please contact our support team with your booking ID and payment details. We aim to review and respond to such queries as soon as possible.

This policy is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Punjab, India.
