Day 1
📍 Chandigarh → Shimla → Sangla Valley (Approx. 10–11 Hrs)
Your unforgettable Spiti Valley road trip begins with pickup from Chandigarh Railway Station, Airport, hotel, or your preferred location. Start the scenic drive towards the breathtaking Sangla Valley via Shimla and Kufri, enjoying mesmerizing Himalayan landscapes, pine forests, and winding mountain roads.
Pass through beautiful towns like Narkanda and Rampur while witnessing the stunning views of the Sutlej River and Kinnaur Valley. Continue the journey through the picturesque Karcham route towards Sangla, one of the most beautiful valleys in Himachal Pradesh.
Upon arrival, check in to the hotel/camp and relax amidst the serene surroundings of apple orchards, snow-capped mountains, and riverside views. Overnight stay in Sangla.
Day 2
📍 Sangla → Chitkul → Kalpa (Approx. 7–8 Hrs)
After breakfast, proceed towards Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border, famous for its untouched natural beauty, wooden houses, Baspa River views, and peaceful mountain atmosphere.
Spend time exploring the scenic beauty of Chitkul village and capture unforgettable photographs amidst majestic Himalayan peaks. Later continue the drive towards Kalpa, a charming Kinnauri village known for spectacular views of the Kinner Kailash mountain range.
Upon arrival, visit local monasteries, traditional villages, and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of Kalpa. Check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Kalpa.
Day 3
📍 Kalpa → Nako → Tabo → Kaza (Approx. 9–10 Hrs)
After breakfast, begin one of the most adventurous and scenic drives of the Spiti Valley circuit. Drive through rocky mountains, deep gorges, and barren cold desert landscapes while entering the mesmerizing Spiti region.
En route, visit the beautiful Nako Lake and explore the peaceful village of Nako surrounded by mountains. Continue towards Tabo and visit the ancient Tabo Monastery, often known as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas,” famous for its centuries-old murals and Buddhist heritage.
Further continue towards Kaza while witnessing dramatic landscapes, unique mountain formations, and scenic villages along the Spiti River. Upon arrival in Kaza, check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 4
📍 Kaza Local Sightseeing – Kibber → Langza → Hikkim → Komic
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion to the famous high-altitude villages around Kaza. Begin with a visit to Kibber Village, known for its stunning mountain scenery, wildlife, and traditional mud houses.
Continue towards Langza Village, famous for giant Buddha statues, fossil hunting, and breathtaking views of Chau Chau Kang Nilda peak. Later visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, where you can send postcards to your loved ones.
Proceed further to Komic Village, one of the world’s highest motorable villages, and visit the ancient Tangyud Monastery. Enjoy the spectacular views of snow-covered mountains and the peaceful atmosphere of Spiti Valley.
Return to Kaza by evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5
📍 Kaza → Key Monastery → Kunzum Pass → Chandratal Lake (Approx. 7–8 Hrs)
After breakfast, visit the famous Key Monastery, the largest and most iconic Buddhist monastery in Spiti Valley, beautifully located on a hilltop overlooking the valley.
Later continue the adventurous journey towards Kunzum Pass, one of the highest motorable mountain passes in India, offering panoramic Himalayan views and unforgettable landscapes.
Further proceed towards the magical Chandratal Lake, also known as the “Moon Lake,” famous for its crystal-clear blue waters surrounded by majestic mountains. Enjoy the serene beauty, photography, and peaceful atmosphere near the lake.
Check in to the camp for dinner and overnight stay near Chandratal.
Day 6
📍 Chandratal → Atal Tunnel → Manali (Approx. 8–9 Hrs)
After breakfast, begin the journey towards Manali through some of the most adventurous mountain roads of Himachal Pradesh. Drive via Batal and Gramphoo while enjoying dramatic landscapes, glaciers, waterfalls, and rugged Himalayan beauty.
Cross the famous Atal Tunnel, one of the world’s longest highway tunnels at high altitude, and continue towards the beautiful hill station of Manali.
Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. In the evening, you may explore Mall Road, local cafés, Tibetan markets, and the lively atmosphere of Manali. Overnight stay in Manali.
Day 7
📍 Manali Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy local sightseeing in and around Manali. Visit famous attractions including Hadimba Devi Temple surrounded by cedar forests, Vashisht Temple & Hot Springs, Tibetan Monastery, Club House, and Mall Road.
You can also enjoy optional adventure activities like river rafting, ziplining, paragliding, or ATV rides depending on weather conditions and availability.
Spend the evening enjoying the cool mountain atmosphere and scenic beauty of Manali. Overnight stay in Manali.
Day 8
📍 Manali → Chandigarh (Approx. 8–9 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your return journey towards Chandigarh with unforgettable memories of the breathtaking Spiti Valley adventure.
Enjoy scenic mountain roads, riverside views, charming Himachali villages, and beautiful valleys during the drive back. En route, you may stop for refreshments, sightseeing, and photography.
